Island Swimming's Graduating Class of 2012

Congratulations Class of 2012

Island Swimming would like to congratulate our graduating class of 2012.  We have five athletes graduating this year and are very proud to announce that all will attend University.

Will Brothers and Rebecca Langlois have both been accepted to the University of Victoria which allows them to stay in Victoria and continue to train with Island Swimming.  Nick Sunderland-Baker has decided to stay in Canada and has accepted a scholarship to Mt. Allison University in New Brunswick where he will swim with the Mt. Allison Mounties Swim Team.  As reported back in November 2011, both Jennifer Mann and Taylor Padington have accepted full athletic scholarships to Universities in the states.  Jennifer is off to Vanderbilt in Nashville Tennessee and will be a member of the Vanderbilt Commodores Swim Team.  Taylor is off to Boise State in Boise Idaho where she plans to swim with the Boise State Broncos.

At Island Swimming, we take great pride in not only producing great athletes but also great people.  Therefore, we are always happy to see our swimmers move on to pursue higher levels of education.  However, this also comes with the realization that some will no longer have a daily presence on our pool deck.

These athletes have become part of our team’s fabric, helped define our program, and have acted as inspirations to many of our young swimmers.

Island Swimming extends their best wishes to all our graduating swimmers and look forward to having all of them back on deck next spring to continue their training with us once school is out.
